A Little History...

Popon™ disposable makeup protectors were developed in response to a need observed in the Ladies Fashion business.

When trying on clothes in various shops, where previously a scarf might be available to protect against soiling by make up, this often was not the case as the scarves were getting stolen from the fitting rooms.

During market research it was also shown that few people would even consider using a scarf because of the number of times it would have been used before. We live in very hygiene conscious times!

It was further established that the most suitable fabric for Popon™ disposable make up hoods would be similar to that used for surgical headgear as it is lightweight, breathable and see-through.

The final product was designed (in conjunction with our supplier in Shanghai) which is perfect for protecting clothes from soiling and which also addresses any hygiene issues the public may have.

Popon™ was launched at the Futura Fashion Fair in February 2007 and is now being used in over 150 boutiques throughout Ireland. It is also distributed in the UK through Morplan (www.morplan.com). We have also recently added clients in Denmark, The Netherlands and Germany to the business.
